Located on Abbot Kenney Boulevard, in Venice, a small vortex of good tea, sandwiches, chocolate, patios, and fountains are kissed by the ocean breeze. Three short blocks from the ocean, the chef/owner Kristy Choo is a sensitive sweet flower. Kristy surely has the potential to be the perfect muse to a poet. I asked Kritsy if she would like to make a comment and she humbly smiled and slightly blushed. The dew she releases along with her scent directed a message towards my heart, which said, “To me, the love for what I do is my comment.” Her dew was radiating in my head and eyes. She gave me a better day.
What Jin Patisserie accomplishes is clear. You don’t have to be boisterous to excel. The micro-dot looking chocolates with hand painted patterns are fun. Some even have fresh flower petals on them. “High French” influence is clear. Though there is more to meet the eye, the heart of the Kristy has many waters running through her origin of Singapore.
Jan Patisserie has been around for three and a half brilliant years. The waves of harmony fill Jin Patisserie. Music as well floats through the air. Both the music and waves run to the core of the Earth, touching the stars…certainly my cup of tea. The music I heard reminded me of beautiful, female, belly dancers on clouds.
I would very much welcome some vegan versions of they’re wonderful cuisine. The flavors are distinct and subtly pronounced. Jin Patisserie…my sweet, sweet, Jin Patisserie…
