Le Pain Quotidien is completely organic and it supports sustainable farming. What I love about Le Pain Quotidien is that this Belgium, chain of organic restaurants have managed to wedge themselves in every spot that is viable in major cities. Some are bigger than others, yet the cool thing is that wherever you may be you can eat organic food down to your coffee and desert. The Melrose location is the only one that serves wine. Hence, you can eat in Westwood and drink organic wine in West Hollywood. The Westwood location is simple and bright.
The atmosphere is very college oriented, which makes sense because eating organic food meshes well with cracking books open. Stephanie, who works here, is studying Business Management. There is hope for the future.
The cuisine is hearty and Belgium country simple. There are six to seven different types of organic bread and one vegan desert, blueberry muffin. Bring your own cayenne if your taste buds prefer to sweat. Manny prefers organic food because it tastes better. It is always fresh, and due to this, organic food cannot be sold if it is not fresh. There is no bitter pesticide taste, it looks better, and something about it makes you feel good while eating it. Organic food so naturally rings with freshness and taste. Hail to organic ingredients. The organic revolution is a counter-revolution to the fast food façade.
Le Pain Quotidien is recently a green restaurant. The biodegradable plastic is made from corn and potato. The biodegradable cups are made from corn, water is conserved in faucets, and paper towels are recyclable. Le Pain Quotidien loves the earth and in return, I love Le Pain Quotidien.
