Limon is vegetarian friendly, yet limited. The two Peruvian woman are dining next to me, assure me that Limon's cuisine is authentic. The view of Valencia St. in the Mission, has a carnival aspect to it. There are many characters in this area, from shady to shady- light. You can see a lot of 1960's fashion, mostly in the woman.
On this sunny afternoon, the chefs are very happy. Much care goes into to preparation of the food and the bread from Panorama Bakery is amazing. The butternut squash soup and the Risotto entree presentation is artistic, an award- winning presentation. The flavors are dense and meaty. Try the hot sauce from Roco Chiles. I wish it was required of all restaurants to use stainless steel pots. In some parts of Italy is is against the law to use aluminum pots, due to the reported toxicity. South American wines from Chile, Argentina, organic. Most of the ingredients in the food are organic. The owners favorite South American Organic wine is Caro Malbre/ Cabernet from Argentina & Luca Syrah, from Mendoza, Argentina. Dessert- Budin De Manzana y coco. Ya Yumm.
