Thuy means water in Vietnamese. It is my servers name here at Red Pearl Kitchen on Melrose and Citrus. Thuy is brimming with enthusiasm for Red Pearl's new location on Melrose. The location is wide, sumptuously spacious, and red. There are red Christmas trees, red chandeliers, and a frosty bar with a Zen bare tree running through the bar. The staff is beautiful in more ways than one. There is a nice feeling of fun and hospitality. It does not feel like a corporation because the staff is being themselves.
I was just gently served the Edamame. I am doing a seven-course vegetarian tasting. I will give the overview of all of the dishes combined when I get to that juncture of dessert. The llanllyr source water is comparable or better. The Voss is another welcome surprise. Wines are served by the glass and are a good level of choice. I love the trend that I see taking place here in Southern California. Through color and sound, the message is soothing, relaxing, and peaceful. Red Pearl Kitchen is welcoming me and I cannot help but enter their world. There is an amazing lounge with Chinese motifs all over. There is even an opium bed, which is completely empty. Westerners need to learn to stretch and relax more in public.
The lighting here is perfect for any state of mind. I am learning that when a friend or stranger tells you a problem, it is good to see the correct solution in your mind. It helps to make the situation better. The light here is infused with tangerine-red light. It is a reminder of sheer, cheer, and passion. It is my sincere wish that the tangerine-red light brought your dreams to fruition unadulterated by man made chemicals.
Domain Group owns Red Pearl Kitchen. The owners are lovers of wine and picked the wines individually. Yes, their palates are functioning precisely. I am so far on my third course and the food is direct and simply tasty. There are no intricacies of hidden perfection. Lets see what awaits this journey. Every dish contains tofu. I don't know why in the name of protein, people consume animals when vegetables are a source of protein. It is so much more affordable. Broccoli has more protein than steak. Vegetarian women maintain bone structure at a rate of ten percent more than non-vegetarian women. In countries where little or no meat is consumed, prostate cancer is a rare disease. Here, at Red Pearl Kitchen, my meal has spicy flavors and lemon zest infused within.
One of the wines by the glass is called Bitch Ganache. I will remember the calming elixir the next time I attempt to over react rather than appreciate another side of many women. They also call the wine I am sipping, Chocolate Covered Cherries.
Chef, Ped, which means spicy, has been a chef for twenty years. He is a gentle sweet man and his dishes are becoming more and more intricate. Like a gentle breeze it comes at the right time. Lychee pineapple water chestnut, baby gailon, gingers, and red onion are all in my Vietnamese chili along with five spices and Shousig cooking wine. All dishes can be made vegetarian by removing the meat here at Red Pearl Kitchen. Also, you get cookies when you leave.
