Romeo Cucina

The Passion for Italian Cuisine

By Anthony Curatolo

This family owned gem is owned by Antonio Adatina and Vitoreo Romeo family, started in Italy where the parents owned restaurant in Calabria region. Primarily from the south with speckles of the north. Southern with a modern interpretations. Manager Phil treats the place like it's his own. He speaks with perfect Southern which further authenticates the menu. Monday is quiet for a second, but the angel with candle that greets you at the door is always present.

Ample wine by the glass as well as ample selections of wines from the southern region. Phil brought his first date with his now-wife here 9 hears ago. He's still here and they all treat everyone like family. Those angels all around the restaurant serve as a static reminder that we are all brothers and sisters after all.

Romeo is like a good Italian mama, keeping the secrets of consistently good Italian cuisine and adapting it to the taste palate of each of her children. At Romeo Cucina there are no signature dishes, just all quality good food. Pasta dishes are earthy.

A huge line just pulled up with thirty teenagers for a party. Bravo!

The sign at the door at Romeo says "There are no strangers here just friends who haven't met yet". It's the thought that counts. Let us aspire - the teenagers are constantly laughing - it's all a good time. REMEMBER: leave here with a smile!. The bread is a home made family tradition handed down by grand mother Annaziata (comes from the word 'annunciation').

For basic souther cuisine come to Romeo Cucina. There is a pizza bar and full far. Sambucca is made from elderberries which are high in vitamin C. Tiramisu - we adore you - means 'pick me up'. The secret here is to use quality mascarpone cheese and marsala.

Overall rating: Cool
