Tantra

By A. Curatolo

Tantra is deeply rooted in Hindu culture.  It is infinitely transforming itself into energy given off by the spiritual, physical, and cosmic union between man and woman.

The Tantra VIP Room is power private.  For $1,000 dollars, any thirty-five people can dwell in nihal (happiness).  There is no place in Los Angeles like Tantra.  Sadly, many Americans over look this marvelous place.  Tantra’s playful architecture is seen in the high ceilings. The exhilaration of the Indian music video, the craftiness of the d.j’s skills, the colors of the lounge, and the couples kissing on comfortable, colorful pillow cushions is psychedelic.  It is a sheer Indian experience.  The bar/lounge plays up beat Indian Bollywood movies that reflect in a huge gold mirror.  The atmosphere is a blend of ancient and modern.  It is a bit like the beautiful Ganesh statue that is sacredly ensured.  Tantra will put you in a good mood and lead you to dancing with the one you love.  Even if you don’t want to, something will go past your mind and tell your heart to do so.  Along with the wonderful fusion, Megan and Rupa release a sensuous femininity when they greet you at the door.

Tantra is incomparable when it comes to Indian restaurants.  Here, anything you desire will amaze you.  Maharaja charms a young attractive staff.  Nahil is a man who knows how to enjoy life and he shares the fun with Tantra.

Chef, Ali is responsible for the knock your socks off North Indian and Indian fused cuisine.  There are some organic selections along with four to five different breads that can be washed down with one of the five or six Indian beers.  Also in Tantra’s possession is all of the Pimn’s cups, secret recipe liquor from India.  The cuisine is of a high order.  I was very impressed with how the silverware was not placed directly on the table, but in a separate paper napkin beside the cloth napkin for the lap. This is a great way to protect the cleanliness of the silverware from touching on a multiuse table.  This is an important point in good hygiene as it plays a small role in representing the seriousness in its dedication to fine Indian cuisine.  The chocolate samosas and ice cream will get your libido in full throttle.

Dinner is from 5pm-12am.  Closed on Monday’s.

Rating—ultra cool.
